The Aion 2 Event Schedule Explained: Every Timer on One UTC Grid
Spacetime Rifts, Watcher Kaira, Shugo Festivals, Dimensional Invasions and the weekly siege bosses — how every Aion 2 event timer hangs off one shared UTC schedule.
If you have ever wondered why an Aion 2 event timer can show Korean, Taiwanese and Global times side by side without contradicting itself, the answer is simple: every recurring event in the game is anchored to one UTC grid, shared by all server regions. This post breaks that grid down event by event, so you can reconstruct any timer from first principles.
The base grid: Spacetime Rifts
Everything else is expressed relative to the rift cadence. Rifts fire at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00 UTC — eight per day. In Taiwan that reads 02:00/05:00/…/23:00 GMT+8; in Korea 09:00/12:00/…/06:00 KST. Same instants, different wall clocks.
Watcher Kaira: the grid, plus one hour
Kaira — the open-world world boss that gates late-game upgrade materials — spawns at 01:00, 04:00, 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22:00 UTC. Each spawn window lasts about 30 minutes. The +1 hour offset means there is never a moment when "rift and Kaira" overlap: while one runs, you have a full two hours until the other.
The hourly fillers: Shugo Festival and Dimensional Invasion
Two daily events fill the gaps between the big grid points:
- Shugo Festival — on the hour, every hour, for roughly 10 minutes. A seasonal event (it runs during in-game festivals), worth checking because the token exchange rotates.
- Dimensional Invasion — at half past every hour, for 15 minutes. Field packs that spawn near quest hubs; a good "while waiting for the rift" activity.
Together with the rift grid, this means something is always starting within 30 minutes.
The weekly endgame: sieges and named bosses
Endgame sieges lock into prime-time evening slots, UTC:
| Event | Days (UTC) | Time (UTC) | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guardian General Nahma | Sunday, Friday | 21:00 | ~30 min |
| Artifact Siege | Monday, Thursday, Saturday | 21:00 | ~30 min |
| Siege Bosses | Monday, Thursday, Saturday | 21:30 | ~30 min |
For GMT+8 players that is 05:00 the next morning — which is why Taiwan community trackers list these under "early morning" content, and why the daily reset (05:00 local in KR/TW, 09:00 Berlin in EU) sits exactly after the siege block.
Why one grid for every region?
Because Aion 2 launched globally on a synchronized clock: the November 2025 worldwide release opened every region at 13:00 UTC simultaneously. Regional servers inherited the same event engine, so an event that fires at 21:00 UTC fires at 21:00 UTC everywhere — only the wall-clock label changes. Community trackers in Korea, Taiwan and the West independently list the same instants, which is the strongest evidence that this is one schedule, not three coincidentally aligned ones.
How to verify it yourself
- Open any event timer and switch its timezone to UTC.
- Note the rift hours — you should see exactly 00/03/06/09/12/15/18/21.
- Switch the timezone to your own: the labels change, the ordering and spacing never do.
That invariance is what our timer page automates — and why its countdown is correct the moment your device's clock and timezone are correct, no server selection required.
Caveats
- These times are player-observed, not NCSOFT-published. Patch notes occasionally adjust them.
- Seasonal events (Shugo Festival) run only during festival windows — expect gaps outside them.
- Weekly reset day has historically been mid-week; if a weekly boss skips a week, check the official announcement before assuming the tracker is wrong.
