How Aion 2 Rift Timer collects, uses, and protects information — which is very little by design.

Introduction

Aion 2 Rift Timer ("we", "us", "this service") is a free fan-made countdown and schedule tool for events in the game Aion 2. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use the website at aion2rifttimer.app. The short version: the core timer works without an account and collects no personal data.

Information We Handle

  1. Timer usage — nothing. Countdowns, timezone conversion, and the schedule table run entirely in your browser. We do not know which events you viewed or when you visited.
  2. Local preferences. Your language choice and light/dark theme are stored in your browser (a locale cookie and local storage). They never leave your device.
  3. Optional account data. If you create an account (email + password, or a Google/GitHub sign-in), we store your email address, display name, and sign-in credentials. Accounts exist solely for site preferences; there is nothing to buy.
  4. Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention, retained for a short period.
  5. Analytics. If enabled, we may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (page views, referrers) to understand traffic. This data is not used to identify individuals.

How We Use Information

  • To display the timer and schedule in your language and timezone.
  • To operate optional accounts and authenticate sign-ins.
  • To keep the service available, secure, and abuse-free.
  • To measure aggregate usage and improve the tool.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising profiles.

Data Sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties except:

  • Service providers strictly necessary to operate the site (hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and minimal data retention. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we collect so little that there is very little to leak.

Your Rights

You may access, export, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. You may also clear the locale/theme cookies in your browser at any moment.

Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
